The TomTom iPhone Car Kit is now available in Europe as of today, it is compatible with the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS and works with the TomTom iPhone App.
“With TomTom car kit for iPhone, we offer cutting-edge features which allow the most optimised driving and navigation experience with iPhone” said Benoit Simeray, Vice-president Mobile On-Board at TomTom. “It was designed with safety and quality in mind to offer iPhone users the best in car experience”.
The kit is available from TomTom and also the Apple online store in Europe, and it costs £92 about $145, on top of that you will have to purchase the TomTom iPhone App which retails for £59.99 about $88 for the UK version and £79.99 about $126 for the European version.
This makes it quite expensive when you compare it to standalone Sat Nav units which retail for around £150 about £236.
