We are expecting to see at least three new iPhones later this year, one of those will be the new iPhone XR2 and according to a recent report the handset will have a larger battery than the current model.
The news comes in a report from The Elec who have revealed that production of the batteries for this year’s iPhone XR has apparently already started.
The existing iPhone XR comes with a 2942 mAh battery and the new battery will come with a capacity of 3110 mAh, which is an increase of around 5% over the current model.
Enhanced Battery Life
This should give the new iPhone XR2 great battery life as it is almost as big as the 3171 mAh battery that is used in the iPhone XS Max and iPhone XS. A larger battery capacity means that users can expect longer usage times between charges, which is a significant advantage for those who rely heavily on their smartphones throughout the day.
