We have heard lots of rumors about the new LG V40 ThinQ smartphone and now we finally have a photo of the handset, thanks to Evan Blass.
The leaked press render of the new V40 ThinQ confirms some of the handset’s specifications, particularly the five cameras on the device.
Camera Specifications and Features
We previously heard that the device would have three cameras on the back, two 12 megapixel cameras and one 16 megapixel camera. This triple camera setup is designed to offer a versatile photography experience, allowing users to switch between different focal lengths and capture a wide range of scenes. The 12 megapixel cameras are expected to include a standard lens and a telephoto lens, while the 16 megapixel camera will likely feature a wide-angle lens, perfect for capturing landscapes and group photos.
On the front of the handset, there will be two cameras, one with a 5 megapixel sensor and one with an 8 megapixel sensor. This dual front camera setup is aimed at enhancing selfie quality and enabling advanced features like portrait mode, which blurs the background to make the subject stand out. The combination of these front cameras will also support facial recognition for added security.
Display and Performance
The handset will come with a 6.4 inch display with a QHD+ resolution of 3120 x 1440 pixels. This high-resolution display promises vibrant colors and sharp details, making it ideal for media consumption, gaming, and productivity tasks. The screen is expected to use OLED technology, which offers better contrast and deeper blacks compared to traditional LCD screens.
Under the hood, the LG V40 ThinQ is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, which is one of the most powerful chipsets available for Android devices. This will ensure smooth performance and efficient multitasking. The new LG V40 ThinQ will come with a choice of 64GB or 128GB of storage, providing ample space for apps, photos, and videos. Additionally, there will be a microSD card slot for expandable storage, allowing users to add even more space if needed.
We are also expecting a choice of 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The higher RAM option will be particularly beneficial for power users who run multiple apps simultaneously or engage in heavy gaming. This amount of RAM will help keep the device running smoothly without any lag.
Additional Features and Launch Information
The LG V40 ThinQ is also expected to come with a range of additional features that enhance the overall user experience. These may include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for quick and secure unlocking, IP68 water and dust resistance, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is becoming increasingly rare in modern smartphones. The device is also likely to support wireless charging and fast charging, ensuring that users can quickly top up their battery when needed.
As for the software, the LG V40 ThinQ will likely run on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box, with LG’s custom skin on top. This will provide users with a range of customization options and unique features that are not available on stock Android.
As soon as we get some more details about the handset, including the launch date, we will let you guys know. The LG V40 ThinQ is shaping up to be a formidable competitor in the high-end smartphone market, offering a blend of advanced camera capabilities, powerful performance, and a stunning display. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the official launch.
