The Visual Voltage Clock is the work of Swedish designers Loove Broms, Karin Ehrnberger, and Sara Llstedt Hjelm, and a prototype version will be shown at Design September Brussels.
The Visual Voltage Clock is designed to be placed on your wall, and connected to your electrical system, it then shows in real time your electricity usage around the house.
It is designed to be hung on the wall, and then connects to your power meter wirelessly, the idea is it will show you exactly how much energy you are using, and encourage you to turn of some stuff that you probably aren’t using, for example your TV in standby mode, to save power.
I love the design, it looks really cool, I would probably spend most of my time watching the clock, rather than my TV so I guess it would certainly save some power.
