It looks like Palm have made a great comeback, with the launch of their new smartphone, the Palm Pre.
The Palm Pre features a 3.1 inch multi touch display with a resolution of 329 x 480, and a built in full QWERTY keyboard, on top of that there is a built in accelerometer.
The Palm Pre runs Palm’s new webOS platform, has built in 802.11b/g WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, a 3 megapixel camera with an LED flash and 8GB of flash memory, there is also a wireless charger, which is pretty impressive, personally I hate wires.
The Pre’s webOS platform certainly looks very impressive, one of the most interesting features is the ability to run multiple applications at once and easily switch between them.
Another interesting feature is combined messaging, which shows all your conversations with one person grouped together in one chat style view.
From a first looks at the specifications and the new Palm webOS, the Palm Pre certainly looks like a very impressive smartphone, could the iPhone finally have some competition?
