Tesla has unveiled the Model S 100D as an update to the Model S previously rated for a max driving range of 315 miles per charge. That driving range has now been updated with a range of 335 miles. That means that the Model S 100D is now the longest range EV on the market. The extra range also means that the 100D is a nice upgrade compared to the 90D.
The 100D costs another $3,000 but can drive 41 miles further on a charge according to the EPA numbers. Both of the cars have the same performance with the ability to reach 60 mph in 4.2 seconds. Both those models give up lots of performance to the insane P100D.
That version can reach 60mph in 2.5 seconds. The big upside to choosing the 100D rather than its P brethren is that it costs $39,500 less than the P100D and drives 20 miles further per charge. The Model X 100D is able to drive 295 miles per charge and reach 60mph in 4.8 seconds. That is only six more miles of driving per charge compared to other versions of the SUV.
