Suunto has this week unveiled their newly updated and second generation Suunto Ambit2 GPS watches, in the form of the Suunto Ambit2 S and Suunto Ambit2.
The new range of Suunto Ambit2 GPS watches offer both athletes and explorers features to help them in their tasks. The new Suunto Ambit2 S has been designed to be lighter, now includes options for training, but has lost a few of the outdoor functions from the original Ambit, losing the barometer, barometric altimeter and thermometer.
The Suunto Ambit2 S is also fitted with route navigation, route planning and “Find back” support features to help users with their training program. While the Ambit2 combines all of the multi-sport support of the Suunto Ambit2 S with the outdoor focus of the original Ambit, and features route navigation, “Find back,” barometric information and altimeter, and temperature.
The Suunto Ambit2 and Ambit2 S will arrive in stores during May and the Ambit2 S will be priced from $400 to $450, depending on the finish, and the Ambit2 price ranges from $500 to $650, again depending on the required finish.
