These sunglasses may be the grossest sunshades I have ever heard of. They things are made from a mixture of some sort of resin and actual human hair. I assume the hair is the sort that was hacked off at a barbershop and then put inside the resin to achieve the design. I will say that the glasses look pretty cool and if I didn’t know hair was inside they might be ok to wear.
Most of them are made for women and they come in different shapes and with different lens colors. The idea is that the glasses are green and made from renewable materials. The resin is biodegradable and the hair can obviously be regrown by the people it’s taken from.
Would you wear glasses made from a stranger’s hair? The shades come from designers Azusa Murakami and Alexander Groves. Their company is called Swine Studio. The two are graduates of the Royal College of Art.
