I’m a sucker for orange cars. Kia has a new orange car, and I want one. It’s the Special Edition Stinger GTS, and it debuted in New York with a new all-wheel-drive system that has a drift mode.
In addition to the bright orange paint, it also has carbon fiber bits and racier looks than the other Stinger models. Drive Mode Select amplifies the rear-biased dynamics of the car with 100% of the power in the rear wheels and holds gears with no upshifting. Sport mode has 80% of the power to rear wheels.
Comfort mode sends 60% of the power to the rear wheels. The Stinger GTS can be had in AWD or RWD versions both using the same 3.3L twin turbo V6 engine making 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque paired with an 8-speed transmission. The GTS will sell for $46,500 in D-AWD trim or $44,000 in RWD trim.
