Yesterday Sony announced their new flagship smartphone, the Sony Xperia Z3, the company also announced a number of other devices, one of those was the new Sony Xperia Z3 Compact.
The Sony Xperia Z3 compact comes with many of the features of the Z3, the handset features a smaller 4.6 inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
Other specifications on the Xperia Z3 Compact include a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with a clock speed of 2.5GHz, there is also 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built in storage, and a microSD card slot which supports up to 128GB cards, there is also an Adreno 330 GPU.
The handset is equipped with the same cameras as the Z3, this include a 2.2 megapixel front facing camera, and a 20.7 megapixel Sony Exmor R camera on the back of the device.
The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact is equipped with a 2600 mAh battery that will give you up to 14 hours of talk time and up to 920 hours of standby time, there is also 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, aGPS, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, NFC, GLONASS and WiFi.
The device comes with Android 4.4 KitKat, and it features a similar design to the larger Z3, as yet Sony have not announced any pricing, it is expected to go on sale later this month, as soon as we get some more information, we will let you guys know.
