US mobile carrier T-Mobile has announced that they will be offering the Sony Xperia Z on their network, the handset will be exclusive to T-Mobile who will be the only US carrier that will offer the device on their network. The handset is also available direct from Sony as a SIM free device.
T-Mobile will offer the Sony Xperia Z on their Un-carrier no contract plans, although they have not revealed any information on how much the device will retail for.
“T-Mobile customers traveling this summer will love the Xperia Z with its big, beautiful HD screen, water-resistant design and advanced camera features,” said Jason Young, vice president of product marketing, T-Mobile. “This is an outstanding combination: a premium 4G LTE smartphone with Sony’s best features coupled with T-Mobile’s unlimited data and speedy nationwide network.”
The Sony Xperia Z features a 5 inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and it is powered by a quad core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and features an Adreno 320 GPU.
Other specifications on the device include 16GB of built in storage and also has 2GB of RAM, it features a microSD card slot that has room for up to 32GB cards and it comes with a 13 megapixel camera, it also also designed to we dust and water proof.
As soon as we get some more information on exactly when the Sony Xperia Z will be available on T-Mobile, along with some pricing for the device we will let you guys know.
