We have seen quite a few different gadgets with built in fingerprint readers as well as a few USB fingerprint readers, now Sony has unveiled the Sony FVA-U1 USB Finger Vein Reader.
Rather than reading your fingerprints it actually reads the veins in your finger using an infrared LED, you can hook it up to your laptop or PC to protect all your precious data to make sure you are the only one who can access it.
According to Sony, the FVA-U1 USB Finger Vein Reader is the worlds smallest and lightest finger vein reader, weighing in at just 33g and measuring 70mm by 14.5mm by 58mm.
The Sony FVA-U1 USB Finger Vein Reader will go on sale in Japan on December the 18th,there are no details on when we are likely to see it on the US and Europ and also no details on pricing as yet.
