For me the PlayStation Network is of little use. I don’t buy games using it and I don’t stream any media from the device. All I do is download the occasional demo game form the PSN. Sony and HBO are trying to lure more folks like me to try the PSN out with a new announcement today.
HBO and Sony are offering HBO premium programs on the PSN for purchase. The programs will include most of the popular HBO offerings like True Blood, Big Love, Entourage, The Sopranos, Rome, and more.
There are multiple season of most of the programs available on the PSN. Pricing isn’t mentioned and presumably, the shows are purchase only, there is no mention of rentals. The content will be available on the PSP as well. I’d be more excited if you could rent the episodes.
