Late last year Microsoft unveiled their awesome real-time Skype Translator software making it available to interested Microsoft Windows 8.1 users via a sign-up process.

The next generation Skype Translation communication software as the name suggests translates real-time Skype calls from one language to another allowing those that don’t speak the same language to communicate and enjoy a real-time video conversation. Features currently include :
• Translates one-to-one Skype video and voice calls.
• Translates English to Spanish and vice versa ‒ more languages are in the works.
• An on-screen transcript of your call appears, which can be saved.
• Translates instant message chats in over 40 languages.
