Samsung has been focusing on their Tizen OS for their smart watches for some time and it looks like their hard work is starting to pay off.
According to a recent report, Samsung’s Tizen OS was more popular than Google’s Android Wear in quarter one of 2017.
Tizen had a 19 percent share of the smartwatch market for quarter one and Google’s Android Wear had an 18% share.
Apple’s smartwatch is still the most popular smartwatch with a reported 57% share of the smartwatch market in quarter one 2017.
It will be interesting to see if Samsung can keep this up and whether they can continue to increase their share of the smartwatch market.
