Yesterday we heard a rumor that the new Samsung Galaxy S7 would come with a 23 megapixel sensor from Sony, now according to a recent report, Samsung will apparently start to focus less on megapixels and more on image quality.
According to the latest information, Samsung has plans to use a 12 megapixel camera in their new Galaxy S7 with a larger sensor.
The new sensor will apparently be a 1/2 inch sensor and will use dual-photodiode technology, this will apparently bring improved photos to the handset over the current model.
Apple uses a 12 megapixel sensor in its latest iPhone 6S and 6S Plus and they focus on image quality rather than megapixel which seems to work well as their handsets produce excellent photos.
The new Samsung Galaxy S7 is rumored to be launching early next year, it could be unveiled some time in January and may hit the stores in February.
