Samsung’s processor business is very profitable for the company and now Samsung intends to expand its new processor plant in South Korea.
According to a recent report, Samsung will invest a further $9.2 billion or 10 trillion won in their processor plant.
The company had previously said that they would spend 15.6 trillion won to build the plant, so now they will be spending a total of 25.6 trillion won on their new processor plant.
Samsung has previous plans to use the plant to produce DRAM memory chips and now it looks like the plant will also be used to build mobile processors.
Apple are expected to use Samsung for their new A9 processors for the iPhone 6S and 6S plus and we also heard recently that Qualcomm may use them to build their new Snapdragon 820 processor.
