It looks like the new Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone are a hit for Samsung, the company has apparently increased production to keep up with demand for the devices.
Samsung had apparently underestimated the popularity of the new S6 and S6 Edge handset and now they have revised their sales targets for the devices.
According to a recent report, Samsung are expecting to sell around 70 million handsets of their Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, the news comes from a Samsung executive at a recent meeting at Samsung’s HQ in Seoul.
Samsung’s did not sell as many units of their Galaxy S5 smartphone as they had predicted last year and it would appear that their estimates for sales of the S6 were conservative and the company has been surprised by the popularity of their new devices.
It will be interesting to see how many Galaxy S6 smartphones Samsung sells by the end of the year, thus could end up being their most popular handset to date.
