Samsung announced a new Android tablet designed specifically for children back in August, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids, and now we have some details on the launch date and pricing for this new tablet.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids tablet will launch in the US on the 10th of October, the device will retail for $229 and will go up for pre-order on the 1st of November.
As you can see from the photos, the tablet features a kids friendly casing and it also come with an orange and yellow bumper case to protect the device from knocks and bumps.
It features similar specifications to the Galaxy Tab 3, which include a 7 inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and it features Android 3.1 Jelly Bean, plus 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built in storage and a microSD card slot with support for up to 32GB cards.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 comes with a dual core processor and has front and rear facing cameras, on the front of a device is a 1.3 megapixel camera, on the back there is a 3 megapixel camera.
The tablet comes with a child friendly app store from Samsung, and also a number of built in parental controls, which allow you to control what content you child uses on the device.
