The Samsung Galaxy S7 will be announced along with the S7 Edge on the 21st of February and now Samsung Indonesia has released a promo video for the handset.
In the video we can see the Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge being used in the rain, this confirms the rumors we heard that the handset would be waterproof.
The handsets will come with a 5.1 inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 1560 x 1440 pixels and processing will be provided by either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or a Samsung Exynos 8990 depending on the region.
The new Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot. Both handsets will get larger batteries than the current models, the S7 will come with a 3000 mAh battery and the S7 Edge with a 3600 mAh battery.
The handsets will also get new cameras the front camera will come with a5 megapixel and the rear camera will be a 12 megapixel Samsung BRITCELL camera. Other specifications will include WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
Samsung is expected to take pre-orders of the device from the 21st of February and there are rumors that any pre-orders between then and the 10th of March will come with a free Gear VR.
