Last week we heard a rumor that Samsung may show off their new Galaxy S4 smartphone at this week’s CES, although it would appear that we may have to wait a little longer according to the latest information.
Samsung’s official Facebook page for Lebanon has apparently announced that Samsung will launch the new Galaxy S4 in May of this year, although it would appear that the post has now been removed from Facebook.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is rumored to feature a 4.99 inch Super AMOLED Full HD display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, plus a quad-core 2GHz Samsung Exynos 5450 processor and a Mali-T658 GPU, plus 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel camera on the back plus a front-facing 2-megapixel camera.
Expected Features and Specifications
The device is also rumored to come with Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, which is expected to bring a host of new features and improvements over previous versions. The 4.99-inch Super AMOLED display is anticipated to offer vibrant colors and deep blacks, making it ideal for media consumption and gaming. The Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels ensures that the display will be sharp and clear, providing an excellent viewing experience.
The quad-core 2GHz Samsung Exynos 5450 processor is expected to deliver outstanding performance, making the Galaxy S4 one of the fastest smartphones on the market. The Mali-T658 GPU should provide excellent graphics performance, making the device suitable for gaming and other graphics-intensive applications. With 2GB of RAM, the Galaxy S4 should be able to handle multitasking with ease, allowing users to run multiple apps simultaneously without any lag.
The 13-megapixel rear camera is expected to offer excellent photo quality, with features such as autofocus, LED flash, and possibly even optical image stabilization. The front-facing 2-megapixel camera should be sufficient for video calls and selfies. Additionally, the device is rumored to come with a variety of camera modes and features, such as HDR, panorama, and burst mode.
Additional Rumored Features
In addition to the core specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is rumored to come with a range of additional features that could make it a standout device in the crowded smartphone market. One such feature is wireless charging, which would allow users to charge their device without the need for cables. This could be a significant convenience for users who are tired of dealing with tangled cords and searching for charging ports.
Another rumored feature is an improved battery life, which is always a welcome improvement for smartphone users. The Galaxy S4 is expected to come with a larger battery than its predecessor, the Galaxy S3, which should provide longer usage times between charges. This could be particularly beneficial for users who rely on their smartphones for work or travel and need a device that can last throughout the day.
The device is also expected to come with a range of connectivity options, including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC. These features should ensure that users can stay connected wherever they are, whether they are browsing the web, streaming media, or making payments with their device.
