Samsung recently announced their new flagship Android smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S III, and now UK mobile carrier, Virgin Mobile has announced that the handset will be available on their network here in the UK.
Virgin Mobile did not announce any pricing or a specific date when the handset will be available on their network, and have said more details will be available at a later date.
Virgin Media has revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be available to Virgin Media customers from the summer. Pricing and full tariff details will be confirmed on availability but as always existing Virgin Media customers will benefit from a range of exclusives such as £5 less on their monthly tariff, double the texts, double the data and 3,000 minutes to other Virgin Mobiles. Virgin Media landline customers can also enjoy free calls to Virgin Mobiles within their inclusive Talk Plan.
The Samsung Galaxy S III features a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and it features Samsung’s new quad core 1.4 GHz Exynos processor.
Other specifications on the new Samsung Galaxy S III include two cameras with a 1.9 megapixel camera up front for video chat and a rear facing 8 megapixel camera for videos and photos, plus NFC, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and it will be available in a 16GB and 32GB version initially with a 64GB model to be released at a later date, there is also a microSD card slot.
