We have been hearing a number of rumors about the new Samsung Galaxy Note 6 smartphone, although according to a recent report the handset will have a different name when it launches.
According to ET News, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will actually launch as the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
Why the Name Change?
Samsung’s current flagships are called the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, and Samsung is looking to skip a version with the Note 6 to launch the handset as the Note 7. This strategic move is likely aimed at aligning the Note series with the S series, creating a more cohesive and streamlined product lineup. By doing so, Samsung hopes to avoid any confusion among consumers and ensure that the Note series is perceived as being on par with the latest technology offered in the S series.
Expected Specifications and Features
Previous rumors have suggested that the handset will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 and 6GB of RAM. This powerful combination is expected to provide a seamless and efficient user experience, capable of handling multitasking and high-performance applications with ease. The device will apparently feature a 5.8-inch display with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, offering vibrant colors and sharp details that are perfect for media consumption and productivity tasks.
