Yesterday we heard that the new Samsung Galaxy Note 6 may launch slightly earlier this year, the handset is rumored to launch in June or July along with the next version of Google’s mobile OS, Android N.
Now it looks like we have some more information on the handset, according to one of our sources, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be Samsung’s first smartphone to feature a 4K display.
The new Galaxy Note 6 will apparently feature a 5.7 inch 4K display that will be capable of displaying 4K video, this wont be the first smartphone with a 4K display, as Sony’s Z5 Pro comes with a 4K display, although this is only used for certain things like video, Samsung’s handset will have a 4K resolution all of the time.
We previously heard rumors that Samsung would introduce 6GB of RAM with the launch of the new Note 6, this is something that our source has also mentioned to us about the new handset, the device will also be one of the first smartphones to use Samsung’s new 256GB UFS storage.
The new Note 6 will also apparently either use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor or Samsung’s own Exynos 8990 processor, both of these are used in the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones.
The handset is also expected to come with similar cameras to the S7, this will include a 5 megapixel front facing camera for selfies and video chat and a 12 megapixel rear camera which can record 4K video.
It certainly sounds like a very interesting device, as soon as we get some more details about the new Galaxy Note 6 and also some photos of the handset, we will let you guys know.
