We have been hearing rumors about a new range of smartphones from Samsung over the last few week, the Samsung Galaxy Mega, and Samsung has just made these new devices official.
There are two smartphones in the Samsung Galaxy Mega range, the Galaxy Mega 6.3 and the Galaxy Mega 5.8, both devices will come with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and share similar specifications.
Up first is the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 which features a 6.3 inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, processing comes win the form of a dual core 1.7 GHz processor and it features 1.5GB of RAM and a choice of 8GB or 16GB of built in storage, plus a microSD card slot that can take up to 64GB cards.
Other specifications on the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 include a 1.9 megapixel camera on the front and an 8 megapixel camera on the back, there is also 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac WiFi, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and NFC.
Next up is the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8, which features a 5.8 inch qHD display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels, processing is in the form of a dual core 1.4GHz processor and it comes with 1.5GB of RAM
The Galaxy Mega 5.8 also features 8GB of built in storage and a microSD card slot that can take up to 64GB cards, plus an 8 megapixel rear facing camera and a 1.9 megapixel front facing camera.
Samsung have not announced any pricing information for either handset, but they have said that the Samsung Galaxy Mega will launch in Europe in May, the handset will launch in Russia first and then other European Countries.
