A new Samsung smartphone has popped up on the Geekbench benchmarks, the Samsung Galaxy A40, the handset was listed with the model number SM-A405FN.
The Samsung Galaxy A40 benchmarks have revealed that the handset will come with a Samsung Exynos 7885 mobile processor.
As well as the Exynos 7885 the device will also come with 4GB of RAM and the handset is listed with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS Android 9.0 Pie.
Specifications and Performance
The Exynos 7885 is a mid-range processor that offers a balance between performance and efficiency. It features an octa-core CPU with two high-performance Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and six power-efficient Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.6 GHz. This configuration ensures that the Galaxy A40 can handle everyday tasks with ease while also being capable of more demanding applications and multitasking.
The 4GB of RAM included in the Galaxy A40 is sufficient for most users, allowing for smooth multitasking and quick app switching. Combined with Android 9.0 Pie, users can expect a fluid and responsive experience. Android 9.0 Pie also brings a host of new features, including adaptive battery, which uses machine learning to prioritize battery power for the apps and services you use most, and adaptive brightness, which automatically adjusts the screen brightness based on your preferences and ambient lighting conditions.
Design and Display
While the Geekbench listing does not provide details on the design and display of the Galaxy A40, we can make some educated guesses based on Samsung’s recent design trends. The Galaxy A series typically features sleek and modern designs with slim bezels and high screen-to-body ratios. It is likely that the Galaxy A40 will follow this trend, offering a large display with minimal bezels and possibly a notch or punch-hole design for the front-facing camera.
Samsung’s A series smartphones often come with Super AMOLED displays, known for their vibrant colors and deep blacks. If the Galaxy A40 includes a Super AMOLED display, users can expect an excellent viewing experience, whether they are watching videos, playing games, or browsing the web.
Camera and Other Features
While the Geekbench listing does not provide information on the camera specifications, it is reasonable to expect that the Galaxy A40 will come with a capable camera setup. Samsung’s A series smartphones typically feature versatile camera systems with multiple lenses, including wide-angle and depth sensors, to provide a range of photography options. The Galaxy A40 may include similar features, allowing users to capture high-quality photos and videos in various conditions.
Other features that are likely to be included in the Galaxy A40 are a fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking, facial recognition, and a decent battery capacity to ensure all-day usage. Samsung may also include some of its proprietary software features, such as Bixby, Samsung Pay, and various customization options to enhance the user experience.
We recently heard some specifications on the new Samsung Galaxy A50, Samsung are expected to make these new Galaxy A smartphones official at MWC 2019 next month. Mobile World Congress takes place in Barcelona between the 25th and 28th of February and we will have more details about the handsets then.
