Yesterday we saw a couple of new cameras from Samsung, like the new Samsung TL500, today we have another new model, the Samsung AQ100, although this new model is a little different as it is waterproof.
The Samsung AQ100 can be used in up to ten feet of water, and it features a slim design with a body just 0.78 inches thick. It is designed to take photos in low light, so I guess it would be ideal for taking photos under water, and it features a built in ‘Aqua Mode’.
The Samsung AQ100 features a twelve megapixel sensor, and has five times optical zoom and built in digital image stabilization. On the back there is a 2.7 inch TFT LCD display.
It is also capable of recording HD video in 720p at a frame rate of thirty frames per second, above or below the water, and it features a Smart Auto technology for scene recognition in movies and still photos.
The Samsung AQ100 Compact Digital Camera will go on sale in the spring of 2010 for $19.99 and it will be available in a range of colors.
