If you use a Canon or Nikon DSLR digital camera and you been thinking about purchasing an accessory flash you might want to check out this new device from ExpoImaging first. The product is called the Rogue Safari and it promises to make your flash eight times brighter for long-distance use. The device uses no batteries and collects and amplifies the like from the integrated pop-up flash.
The Safari is designed to be used with telephoto zoom lenses 100 mm and longer. The manufacturer says that it will focus up to eight times more light and offer an improvement of up to 3 f/stops on the subject versus using the pop-up flash alone. The product is also cheap at $34.95.
The product will fit on most Canon APS-C and Nikon DX sensor DSLR cameras. The device weighs 2 ounces and doesn’t require any batteries. Some cameras from Nikon and Canon built before 2007 may not work with the Safari.
