Reevu have a new MSX1 helmet which uses a mechanical mechanism rather than electronics and cameras to allow the wearer to see behind them. Similar to using a rear view mirror on a car, it uses a small mirror within the helmet just out of the riders line of sight.
The Reevu MSX1 is the world’s first patented rear-view helmet range that gives the wearer that all round vision. Reevu say the added functionality no way effects the safety performance of the helmet.
The helemt system incorporates a polycarbonate tunnel coated in a mirror-like surface above the EPS foam liner. The tunnel reflects a rear view image onto a rectangular section just above the brow area.
The Reevu MSX1 is ECE approved and priced at £249 around $380.
