Following on from the teaser images last weekend and earlier this week Rockstar Games has now officially announced the release date for the sequel which will be available to play on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 during the fall 2017.
Rockstar is also releasing a Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer later today which will be added to this article as soon as it is released which is expected to be around 11:00 AM Eastern on Thursday, October 20th 2016.
Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games explains :
With Red Dead Redemption 2, the team is working hard to push forward our vision for interactive entertainment in a truly living world. We hope to deliver players an epic experience that builds upon everything we’ve learned making games.
The official Red Dead Redemption 2 press release explains that the game is :
An epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.
