Tony Gomez has created a new Raspberry Pi powered system that has been designed to enable users to backup anything, anywhere automatically and is part of the open source initiative.
The IT-box is powered by the awesome Raspberry Pi mini PC and has been created to seamlessly manage and automates your data back-ups after initial setup.
Watch the video below to learn more about this Pi project which is currently over on the Kickstarter crowdfunding website looking to raise just $7,500 to make the jump into manufacture. Its creator Tony Gomez explains a little more about his inspiration and idea.
“The idea of the IT-box started from my own experience with so much information and data spread out on different hard drives and devices that I wanted a something that easily manages it for me. I work from home and well, who wants a large server at home.
The IT-box connects through the network router or access point. Then using a browser you are able to control and manage the IT-box with all your other devices. The IT-box is designed specifically for personal, small office use and the price definitely reflects that. The IT-box will be affordable for everyone and the code will be open source so you can make it your own.”
