RaptorFPV based in Canada have created a new racing drone in the form of the Raptor 190 FPV Quadcopter offering a professional drone that is equipped with carbon fibre mainplates and PETG spacer.
So if you are looking to enter into the world of drone racing and use your skills to be able to claim the $1 million in prize money that is up for grabs via the Dubai Quadcopter World Drone Prix and was recently won by a teenager from the UK.The Raptor 190 FPV Quadcopter might be worth more investigation.
The developer of the Raptor 190 FPV Quadcopter explain more about the inspiration, designing and building the drone as well as explaining its performance and racing features .
I’m looking to launch a new frame with stylish aggressive lines, fully enclosed electronics for a sleek look and aerodynamic advantage. The Raptor 190 was designed from the ground up with inspiration from the look and style of the Sigan Drone, Fossils Gravity 250 and Walkera Runner 250 quads. It will feature Carbon Fiber upper and lower plates for maximum durability and Center spacer/Camera Plate 3D printed in PETG filament which has more resilience and elasticity than ABS or PLA. Simplicity, Style and Durability all in one!
Many kits are confusing or complicated; I designed the Raptor 190 to be a simple build with 14 bolts and 14 nuts with very obvious placement. Regardless, I’ll be doing up a step by step build log to ensure it’s as simple as possible. I’m even including the necessary Allan key in each kit so all you’ll need is a pair of pliers and about 15 minutes. It’s an all in one kit with no need for anything but the guts. I’ll list my chosen parts below but really, the sky’s the limit!
