Even though this month Microsoft has announced a PC version of their new IP currently under development, Quantum Break will be made available, as well as launching on the Xbox One.
Those of you that were hoping to pick up a copy of Quantum Break via Steam for your PC, will be disappointed to hear that this is not going to be possible as the game will not be arriving on the Steam gaming network.
Although this is not a complete surprise as hardly any exclusive Xbox One games have made there way to the Steam online store before. Unfortunately not all gamers were happy about the news of Quantum Break coming to PC and many took to Twitter to express their feelings and expressed they were considering cancelling pre-orders in response to the news of the launch of a PC version. Xbox boss Phil Spencer responded on Twitter by saying :
You cancelled a pre-order for a game you want to play because someone else gets to play the game on Windows?
Xbox exec Aaron Greenberg also explained :
Sometimes we’re innovating, sometimes we’re experimenting, sometimes we’re charting new ground on different things,” he said. “We always want to hear people’s feedback, we’re always listening. While they might not always agree with 100 per cent of everything we do, we love the feedback. We want to do different things and try different things and say, ‘Hey, what do you think of this, what do you think of that?’ We do listen. Good and bad, we appreciate [the feedback].
