Porsche has announced that it has opened its second Experience Center in the US. This location is in LA and the complex spans 53-acres. This particular complex is the home of Porsche Motorsport North America and is on the 405 Freeway in Carson, California. The complex has a development track with eight educational modules totaling 4.1 miles long.
The location has has a race car exhibit with Porsche rides that change regularly and a fine-dining restaurant. Guests to the park and corporate groups can visit the new facility and hone driving skills on a course designed to demonstrate the power, responsiveness, and safety of Porsche cars.
Why LA you might wonder, Porsche says that if California were its own country it would be the fifth largest market for Porsche. California alone makes up 23% of all Porsche vehicles sold in the US. Visitors can pay for 90-minute instructor-led experiences in Porsche cars on the driver development track. No word on how much those track experiences will cost.
“Tourism in Los Angeles is already growing with incredible speed – and this one-of-a-kind attraction will add even more horsepower to our economy,” said Mayor Eric Garcetti. “The Porsche Experience Center will draw motor enthusiasts from around the world, and I am proud to welcome this unparalleled winning tradition to our city.”
