Plextor more well know for its optical discs and drives have stepped into the solid state disk SSD market with their new range of solid state drives the 64GB PX-64M1S and the 128GB PX-128M1S.
The two new SSD devices use non-volatile NAND flash memory and Marvell controller chipsets. The 64GB drive’s speeds are 110MB/s sequential read and 65MB/s sequential write speeds while the 128GB drive writes of up to 70MB/s and reads of up to 130MB/s.
Both are SATA II and have a 2.5″ form factor and come with Acronis True Image software for backup and recovery purposes.
Available to buy : 64GB SSD for $225 and the 128GB SSD for $400.
