Philips has launched a new iPod and iPhone dock, the Philips Fidelio DS9000, and as you can see from the photos it looks very stylish. The Philips Fidelio DS9000 is made from a combination of wood, fabric and metal.
According to Philips, the Fidelio DS9000 iPod dock is designed to deliver high quality sound, and the sound design is based on true stereo architecture with isolated acoustic chambers.
The Philips Fidelio DS9000 features one midrange driver and one tweeter per channel, and it uses audiophile quality drivers with a passive crossover design.
It features a total power output of 100 Watts, and it has a backlit control panel that features a built in proximity sensor, plus an intuitive remote.
The Philips Fidelio DS9000 is compatible with all models of the Apple iPhone and iPods and it even comes with a free iPhone application which is available from the App Store.
There are no details on pricing or availability as yet, but we suspect this is going to be one of the more expensive iPod docks.
