PC chassis manufacturer Lian Li has unveiled a new and innovative PC-Q30 Curved Mini-ITX Chassis to their range this month, which brings curves to a predominately rectangular market.
The Lian Li PC-Q30 has been designed to provide a chassis that can be used in almost any situation whether it be for a HTPC in the living room, as a small gaming machine, or just as an under the desk work machine.

Design and Aesthetics
The Lian Li PC-Q30 features a unique curved design that sets it apart from the traditional boxy chassis. This curvature not only adds a modern and sleek look but also enhances the overall aesthetic appeal of any setup. The chassis includes a square window that allows users to showcase their internal components, making it a great choice for those who enjoy building visually appealing systems. The use of 3mm aluminum panels formed with a hair-line brushed anodized aluminum finish gives the PC-Q30 a premium feel and ensures durability.
Functionality and Compatibility
Despite its compact size, the Lian Li PC-Q30 is packed with features that make it highly functional. It can hold a dual-slot GPU up to 7.8 inches in length, which is sufficient for most mid-range graphics cards. This makes it a viable option for gamers who want a small yet powerful machine. Additionally, there is space below the motherboard for up to two 2.5” hard drives in a removable cage, providing ample storage options for users.
However, it’s important to note that the Lian Li PC-Q30 does not have space for an optical drive. This design choice aligns with the current trend of moving away from physical media, as more users rely on digital downloads and streaming services. For those who still need an optical drive, external USB options are available and can be used as needed.
“Simple and Clean design. Using 3mm aluminum panels formed with and hair-line brushed anodized aluminum finish.”
The PC-Q30 Curved Mini-ITX Chassis will be arriving on the Lian Li website during June 2013 and will be priced at around $149. This price point makes it an attractive option for those looking for a high-quality, aesthetically pleasing, and functional mini-ITX chassis.
