Earlier this month the new Ouya console started arriving in the hands of Kickstarter backers and is now gearing up to a June launch date for its retail debut.
The $99 Ouya console has broken Kickstarter records and turned the gaming console market on its head, providing gamers with an open source Android gaming console for under $100.
To re-cap the Ouya console is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, supported by 1GB of RAM with 8GB of internal on-board storage for games, app and files.
“OUYA console offers every game free to try because we believe you shouldn’t buy anything until you know you love it. We love playing games on the TV and we want to bring the most creative, innovative and engaging games back to the TV by allowing any developer—big or small, experienced or new, paparazzi-famous or up-and-coming—to easily build games for the big screen. Your favorite and soon-to-be-favorite games in 1080p—what’s not to love?”
