Fans of the awesome BioShock series of games are sure to be pleased to know that its publisher 2K Games has this week announced they will be launching the original BioShock game onto iOS devices later this month.
Enabling fans to play the original BioShock game on iPad 4, iPad Mini 2 and iPad Air, plus iPhone 5, 5S and 5C. However as yet no confirmed release date or price has as yet been announced.
But using other 2K Games titles which have made the same move to iOS as a guide you can expect the game to be priced at a premium with no added micro-transactions within the game.
The original game is a first-person shooter video game, developed by Irrational Games which at the time were called 2K Boston, and published by 2K Games. Bioshock was originally released for PC and Xbox 360 platforms in August 2007.
“BioShock is set in 1960, in which the player guides the protagonist, Jack, after his airplane crashes in the ocean near the bathysphere terminus that leads to the underwater city of Rapture.
Built by the business magnate Andrew Ryan, the city was intended to be an isolated utopia, but the discovery of ADAM, a plasmid which grants superhuman powers, initiated the city’s turbulent decline. Jack tries to find a way to escape, fighting through hordes of ADAM-obsessed enemies such as the deadly Big Daddies, while engaging with the few sane humans that remain and eventually learning of Rapture’s past.”
As more information on an official BioShock iOS release date and price is announced by 2K Games we will keep you updated as always.
