OnePlus have had a few issues with the launch of their new OnePlus 2 smartphone, the handset has been delayed slightly and now the company’s founder, Carl Pei has apologized for the delay of the handset.
The company used a new invite system for the launch of the OnePlus 2, but this did not help them get the device out to customers on time, as they faced a number of delays.
I’d like to apologize on behalf of OnePlus for the delay.
To our fans, sorry. We were equally excited when we saw your excitement around the OnePlus 2. We know how it feels waiting and waiting for something you really want, while being given ETAs that go unfulfilled. We appreciate the trust and support that you have given to a relatively small and unknown company like OnePlus. We know that you are rooting for us, and want nothing more than to see us succeed. Therefore, it feels extra terrible to let you down this time around, again.
The team behind the smartphone have announced that they will make the handset available to everyone without the need for an invite for an hour later this month. This means that people who have been waiting to buy one through the invite system will be able to order their handset.
