At CES 2014 this week a new RFID based lock has been unveiled in the form of Okidokeys which has been designed to allow you to remotely control access to your front door.
The new Okidokeys lock and companion application which has been designed for both Android and iOS smartphones and tablets connects using Bluetooth 4.0 technologies and uses 256-bit AES cryptology security.
The Okidokeys lock is also capable of supporting traditional metal keys, RFID smart tags and ordinary cell phones providing a number of different ways to provide access to your home.
Okidokeys has been specifically designed to be easy to install by the average homeowner and apparently doesn’t require any drilling to install but uses the deadbolt system already installed within your door. Okidokeys locks are now available to pre-order $180 and shipping will commence in the spring in the U.S. and during the middle of this year in Europe and beyond.
