The Nokia X71 smartphone was made official recently and now the handset is available to pre-order in China.
The device is available to pre-order for $325 for the 64GB model and for $400 for the 128GB models. It will go on sale on the 27th of April.
Display and Design
The handset comes with a 6.39 inch display with a Full HD+ resolution and it also comes with a 19.3:9 aspect ratio. This aspect ratio is particularly beneficial for those who enjoy watching videos and playing games, as it provides a more immersive experience. The display also features a punch-hole design, which houses the front-facing camera, allowing for a nearly bezel-less screen. This design choice not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the device but also maximizes the screen real estate.
Performance and Storage
The device also comes with a Snapdragon 660 mobile processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. The Snapdragon 660 is a mid-range processor that offers a good balance between performance and efficiency. It is capable of handling everyday tasks with ease, including web browsing, social media, and light gaming. The 6GB of RAM ensures smooth multitasking, allowing users to switch between apps without any noticeable lag. Additionally, the 128GB of storage provides ample space for apps, photos, videos, and other media. For those who need even more storage, the device also supports microSD cards, allowing for expandable storage.
Camera Capabilities
The Nokia X71 features a front-facing 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. This camera is equipped with AI enhancements that improve the quality of selfies by adjusting the lighting and focus. On the back, there is a triple camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The 48-megapixel camera uses pixel binning technology to combine four pixels into one, resulting in higher quality photos with better detail and less noise. The 5-megapixel depth sensor is used for portrait mode, allowing for photos with a blurred background effect. The 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera is perfect for capturing landscapes and group photos, as it offers a wider field of view.
Battery and Charging
The device is powered by a 3500 mAh battery with fast charging capabilities. This battery capacity is sufficient to last a full day of moderate use, including web browsing, social media, and video streaming. The fast charging feature allows the battery to be quickly recharged, reducing the amount of time the device needs to be plugged in. This is particularly useful for users who are always on the go and need their device to be ready at a moment’s notice.
Availability and Future Plans
The device originally launched in Taiwan and now it is headed to China. As yet, there are no details on when it will be available in more countries. However, given the popularity of Nokia smartphones, it is likely that the Nokia X71 will eventually be released in other markets. The company has a history of launching its devices in multiple regions, and the X71 is expected to follow this trend.
The Nokia X71 is a well-rounded smartphone that offers a good balance of performance, design, and camera capabilities. Its competitive pricing makes it an attractive option for those looking for a mid-range device with premium features. As it becomes available in more markets, it is expected to gain popularity among consumers who value quality and affordability.
