Nintendo has this week confirmed that its new official Switch Lite Flip Cover designed previously only available in Japan will soon be available throughout the United States. The Nintendo Switch Lite Flip Cover will be available to purchase from January 9th, 2020 and offers a lightweight case that simply clips onto the Switch Lite and includes a magnetically attaching lid and plastic screen protector.
To save on bulk Nintendo has contoured the Switch Lite Flip Cover over the top of the analogue sticks forming to raised areas of the case which allow it to snugly fit your Switch Lite console and provide a little extra area of grip when being carried enclosed.
The Nintendo Switch Lite Flip Cover will be priced at $39.99 while the console is priced at $199.99. “The Nintendo Switch Lite is designed specifically for handheld play—so you can jump into your favorite games wherever you happen to be.” The Nintendo Switch Lite system plays the library of Nintendo Switch games that work in handheld mode. Controllers are built right into the system for handheld play, and the left side sports a +Control Pad.
