Nintendo recently revealed that their next generation games console would be called the Nintendo NX and now according to a recent report, the console may run Google’s Android OS.
The news comes in a report from the Nikkei that the new Nintendo NX will apparently be built around Android.
The new OS on the Nintendo NX is apparently based on Android, the reason this has apparently been done is to speed up game developers development for the console.
There is another reported reason on why Nintendo has chosen to build their new NX OS on Android, as this would easily allow for development to be expanded to smartphones tablets and other devices.
Of course this is just a rumor at the moment, although the Nikkei does have a good track record with Nintendo leaks ahead of them being announced, so the company’s next generation console may run Android, as soon as we get some more details, we will let you guys know.
