NIMB has this week unveiled a new smart ring that has created specifically designed to help you stay safe, and is fitted with a concealed button that when pressed notifies family, friends, the emergency services and the NIMB community when you’re in trouble.
Check out the video below to learn more about the inspiration, design and construction of the NIMB smart ring. Which has launched via Kickstarter this week and is already raised its required $50,000 pledge goal in funding, thanks to over 520 backers with still 37 days remaining on its campaign.
NIMB explains more about their new smart ring which is available in a number of different designs to suit your style and preference.
Emergencies can be scary, but Nimb provides vibration feedback to let you know that a message has gone out and help is on the way. Whether you’re caught in a natural disaster, experiencing a health issue or in a personal attack situation, Nimb is there to keep you safe and sound when you need it most.
When you use the Nimb mobile app, you’re free to choose and set up your safety circles however you like. You can set it up to alert only the police, just your best friend, your entire family or people nearby — the power is in your hands. We believe that society is ready to provide its members with peer-to-peer help in extreme situations. Communities play greater roles in bringing society to better practices in different areas. Personal security shouldn’t be an exception.
You can join communities to help and empower people with similar values and views. If you belong to an organization, a movement or a team, now you are able to support your fellow associates, should they happen to be in urgent need. We see Nimb as a movement towards safer environments, where people combine efforts to help someone in trouble, whether they are authorized officials, close ones, sympathetic neighbors or just passers by.
