Google has expanded its range of applications today by launching its new Google Currents app designed for both Android and iOS devices.
Google Currents has been created to provide users with an easy way to explore online magazines and other content, using swipe gestures. Watch the video after the jump to see Google’s new Currents application in action, and what it can offer you.
Google has already partnered with 150 publishing partners to offer articles from over 180 publications including: CNET, AllThingsD, Forbes, Saveur, PBS, Huffington Post, Fast Company and more.
Google has also launched a new self-service platform that gives publishers the flexibility to design, brand and customise their own web content. Allowing anyone to be able to create their own content for the new service. Find out more by jumping over to the Google Blog post.
