Those of you patiently waiting to get your hands on the new Apple TV that was unveiled last month, will be pleased to know that it will be available to preorder from Monday, October 26th and are expected to be shipped to customers by Friday, October 30th
The Apple TV will be available in two versions with either 32 or 64 GB of storage priced at $149 and $199 respectively.
Pricing within the UK is thought to be £129 for the 32GB model and £179 for 64GB although these prices have not yet been officially confirmed by Apple. One of the major new features of the next generation of Apple TV devices is its ability to run applications that have been designed specifically for the Apple tvOS operating system. Apple explains more :
TV is a major part of our lives. We gather together around our big screens to watch big shows and big events. Yet somehow, the overall experience of TV has continued to stagnate. Until now. It all starts by recognising that apps are the future of television. Apps are quickly becoming how we watch today. So we built a new foundation around this vision — with a new operating system called tvOS, innovative ways to connect with your screen, and a smart use of Siri to search for something to watch. This is the new Apple TV. This is where television is headed.
As soon as more details are announced and confirmed by Apple for the prices on Monday we will keep you updated as always.
