We heave been hearing rumors about some new Apple AirPods and now we have some more details about the second generation AirPods which will apparently launch this year.
According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg the new AirPods will get a number of upgrades over the current model. One of the new features will be voice activation with Apple’s Siri which will let you use the AirPods to control Siri on your iPhone or iPad.
You will be able to use the ‘Hey Siri’ command with the AirPods just like you can on the iPhone, the iPad and Apple HomePod.
The new AirPods will also be designed to be splash proof, they will not be designed to be submerged in water but to be water resistant. Whether or not this feature will be making it to the second generation AirPods is not confirmed as yet.
The AirPods have become one of Apple’s popular devices, so the company releasing a new model will help them continue to grow sales of the device. As yet there are no details on when the new Apple AirPods will launch, as soon as we get some more details, we will let you guys know.
