With Apple gearing up to start taking preorders for its new smartwatch that is priced from $300 upwards, anyone who has now dismissed it due to the price or features may be interested in a new crowd funded smartwatch and range of hardware called the Neptune Suite and Hub.

Its creators describe the Neptune Suite and Hub as “One wearable to rule them all.” and the wrist worn Hub is powered by a 1.8 GHz quad-core processor, 64GB of storage and comes with support for 3G/LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC.
The Neptune Suite consistently range of hardware which includes the wristband together with a necklace, Pocket Screen and Tab Screen that offers a 10 inch capacitive touchscreen as well as a front-facing camera and functions just as any other tablet would.
“Neptune Hub allows you to send short messages in a simplified way. With Contact Slide, a pressure sensor strip on the side of the Hub, you may access any recent contact in a single action, by simply sliding your finger on the strip and pressing harder when you see the right contact highlighted. Then, you may choose to either quickly scribble a message, or simply use your voice to send a short snippet. Voice dictation is also supported.
