The design team at re:engineering has this week launched a new motorised Trailboard over on Kickstarter with the aim of raising $15,000.
Each Trailboard is priced at $500 and there are two version to choose from offering either a gas powered all terrain board, or a lighter and eco-friendly electric version.
Watch the video below to learn more about both and see the electric Trailboard reach speeds up to 28 miles per hour. While the power version can reach speeds above 35 miles per hour and can tow up to 300 Ibs.
“If you’re a thrill seeker or extreme sports enthusiast, you must have a Trailboard. It’s the ultimate power sport; snowboarding meets motorcycling. There is no greater rush than going 30 mph on a skateboard. It’s a rush every thrill seeker must experience.
Skateboarders have never had the opportunity to ride off the pavement onto the natural terrain like this, until now. The Trailboard removes all restriction, and enables you to skateboard anywhere you want! Through the desert, across rocks and gravel, through a field, up a hill, and that’s just the beginning. The Trailboard is an all-terrain board, powered by an engine that will ensure you always have enough power to beat the terrain.
The Trailboard has been engineered for stability. Our patent-pending steering is incredibly stable, making speed-wobbles a thing of the past. The front axle becomes more stable the faster you go, so you can be confident going full-throttle.
Additionally, the Trailboard splits into two parts: the front end and the drive train. This makes the Trailboard simple to transport in any type of car. Only three bolts are needed to assemble the Trailboard at your favorite off-road location so you can be shredding land in no time.”
